A small church next to a place to eat some local food in the middle of the Black Forest

I met three friends today near the old town and then started off into the Black Forest.  It took us a little more than an hour to get to a country restaurant with a small church next to it.  In the cellar of the church were the remnants of a small chapel that had been built in the year 672AD, apparently because a girl had been born blind (and a girl, according to the small pamphlet in the church) and so the dad was distraught but when the girl was baptized, she regained her eyesight.  That’s probably why this religious statue has two eyes on the Bible.

This is one of the reasons why I like living in Europe.
